Cake & Culture - "Discovering Alabama: Whooping Cranes"

Sunday, March 18, 2018

Discovering Alabama: Whooping Cranes - Writer and producer Roger Reid presents a pre-broadcast peek at Discovering Alabama: Whooping Cranes. The Whooping Crane is North America’s tallest bird and, arguably, it’s most beautiful. Come discover how a large percentage of these magnificent creatures came to call our state their winter home in a presentation illustrated with remarkable high-definition footage from the Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge. Discovering Alabama is the EMMY award-winning Public Television series hosted by Dr. Doug Phillips and produced by the Alabama Museum of Natural History, The University of Alabama. Roger Reid has been a writer and producer for the show for more than 20 years.
