2010 Soccer Team Moms
Team Mom's are very important to our program. They enable the coaches to focus on the players while the team mom handles all the communication and distribution of information to the parents. Thank you for volunteering to help! We couldn't do it without you.
******************************************************** Mission Statement The mission of Alabaster Parks and Recreation youth athletic programs is to teach the fundamentals of the sport to every child who wants to participate. The hope is for every child to have a positive experience and develop his/ her skills and knowledge in the sport they are participating. Kids should learn fair play, to be competitive, to have good sportsmanship and to be team players. We pride ourselves in providing a positive atmosphere in which families can come together to fellowship and watch their kids play. ******************************************************** Team Mom Meeting 2010
1. “Team Mom’s are the glue that hold everything together.” We know how hard you work and really appreciate everything you do. Thank you. 2. Communication - Please make sure we have an active email for you so you will be informed. The main forms of communication for us will be email, website and a sports communication system we are using again this year. We must have valid information from parents in order for it to work (phone, cell, email). Make sure all your parents have the following information: Rainout Number: 690-4116 Website: www.cityofalabaster.com
3. Opening Day - Opening Day will be on Saturday, March 27th for soccer at Municipal Park. Games will begin at 9:00 AM. Soccer season will begin the week of March 27th for U6, U8 & U10. CASL will get us game schedules for U11, U12 & U13 by Spring Break.
4. Picture Day - Soccer pictures will be on Saturday, April 10th. Bill Miller will be taking all pictures this year. Their quality and service is very good and reliable. Please note that no cameras will be allowed inside the official photography area. 5. Sponsors - Sponsors are vital to our programs. They allow us to offer extra things to our participants, offer scholarships and/or assistance to families when needed. While we are happy to already have commitments for this year, we still have some teams without a sponsor. Please help us to obtain sponsors for everyone. We also need to remember to patronize these vendors who support our children. 2010 Soccer Sponsorship Menu .doc 2010 Soccer Sponsorship Invoice.doc
6. Fields and Practices - Practice Schedules have been assigned to the coaches. We have worked very hard to be able to schedule practices for the large number of teams we have in the programs, plus down time for maintenance and rest. You must have either an assigned practice time or permit from the Parks and Rec office to be on any of our fields for practices. Please remind parents to park in designated parking spaces only and players to pick up trash after their practices.
7. Game Schedules - We will have game schedules finalized and out ASAP. We should have them out by the end of Spring Break. 8. Questions - Feel free to call the Depot (664-6840) and ask Rosia or Sharon anything – they more than likely can answer your questions. If not, they will get the answer for you. 9. Information - You will find all team mom information under the “Team Mom” tab on our website. 10. Uniform Distribution 11. Player Information - We will provide you with a roster of your team by the end of next week so you can update it and get it back to us. This will enable us to update our contact info.
