Beautification Board

The Alabaster Beautification Board acts in an advisory capacity to the Mayor and Council. The Board is charged with studying, investigating, developing, and proposing plans for improving the health, sanitation, safety, and cleanliness of the City by beautifying the streets, highways, alleys, lots, yards and other similar places.

The Alabaster Board is seeking volunteers to assist with City events throughout the year. Volunteers would assist with identifying areas in need of the Board's attention and assist with programs such as the Christmas Parade, Arbor Day festivities, and Adopt-A-Mile programs.  Volunteers meet monthly and provide input for the community while assisting with events throughout the year.  The Board meets the second Monday of each month at the Depot (Parks and Recreation office) off Thompson Road.  The meetings typically last one hour.  To volunteer for the Board, please contact Mrs. Randi Dicus at 205-664-1106 or email at pdicus@bellsouth.net.  Once the Board receives a volunteer list, it is forwarded to the Mayor for review & appointment to the Board.
