Ward 5 - Jim McClain

Jim McClain is President of the City Council and represents Alabaster in Ward 5. McClain is originally from Ackerman, Mississippi.  He graduated from Holmes Junior College in 1978, and graduated from Mississippi State University in 1980 with a B.S. degree in Industrial Technology. His professional career includes a seven-year stint in management at U.S. Steel. He is currently the co-owner of SMMS, Inc. located in Alabaster. 

McClain and his wife, Bonnie, have been married for 29 years and have four sons: Robbie, Cory, Jamie and Colby. McClain has been very involved locally with youth athletics for the past 20 years.
