Alabama Virtual Library (AVL) - No Password Required! The AVL now uses GeoIP, so if you are in Alabama when you access this resource it should function.
If you access the AVL from out of State, or have problems connecting, please come by the library to gett an AVL card and password.  Visit this site for online materials including encyclopedias, full text magazine articles, and reference materials on business, education, government, health, literature, science and social science.  Materials are availabale for all ages.

Learning Express Library - Test preparation materials and interactive proactice exams, based on offical tests, that will help you imporve you scores on academic, civil service, military, and professional licensing and certification exams. You will need a valid Shelby County Library Card to access this resource. Use your full card number as your username then make up your own password when registering for the service!
