School Resource Officer Program

In September, 2002, the Alabaster Police Department was fortunate to be able to assign police officers to our public schools, through federal grants. Since then we have enhanced this program and our officers are part of a successful cooperation to ensure the safety of our children. If you would like more information about what our officers' duties are or have a question regarding the safety of our schools, please feel free to contact Captain Grant Humphries or any of our officers. We would be honored to introduce ourselves to you, or better yet...just ask your children who the School Resource Officer is in their school. I would bet that they know them very well, and that's a good thing! We are here to help ensure your children's safety and your confidence.
