Board Activities

An Alabaster resident for 16 years, Martin is very active in the community.  She currently serves on the Alabaster Water Board and the Alabaster Arts Council. Martin also serves on the Board of Directors for the Easter Seals of Birmingham, the United Way of Central Alabama Shelby County Campaign Cabinet, and is President of the Alabaster Lions Club.

Education & Experience

A graduate of Ball State University, earning a degree in Journalism and Telecommunications, Martin worked as a former television news reporter for several news affiliates including KTBC in Austin, Texas.  Martin is now the Corporate Communications Media Manager for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama. 

Family

She and her husband, Rob, have three daughters, Hope, Molly and Katherine Jane.
