Here are a few of Alabaster's target locations for growth.
Highway 31 Corridor Off of Interstate 65
The intersection of Highway 31 and interstate 65 is one of the key areas for commerce in Alabaster. It is currently the location of the Propst Promenade and Colonial Promenade, which house the majority of the city's retail space as well as an abundance of restaurants.

The area is soon to welcome District 31, a new 75 acre development with over 600,000 square feet of anchor and retail shop availability. As you will find, this location is booming. Thanks to the constant traffic on I-65 as well as the growing population of Alabaster, there is no shortage of demand for further development in this area.

Siluria Mill District
Named for the historic Siluria Mill, which was once the heart of the city's economy, the Siluria Mill District is now home to Alabaster's Municipal Complex, the Police Department and Senior Center. In addition, the city is in the process of building an amphitheater on the municipal green space. 

Recently, it has begun to rise as a hotspot for food and retail as well. The location is the parking spot of Momo's Cajun Eatz food truck as well as Ivy League Brew. As the area continues to grow with the addition of the amphitheater, the city of Alabaster envisions the Siluria Mill District to be a city center that is vibrant, lively and walkable. If you are looking for somewhere to start a unique small business, this is the place for it.
Main Street Medical Mile

A portion of Highway 31, the Main Street Medical Mile is home to Alabaster's historic main street. In addition, the stretch of highway is also the location of Shelby Baptist Medical Center as well as many other other medical providers. The city of Alabaster envisions the Medical Mile as the premier location for residents to receive quality healthcare.

If you are looking to open a medical practice in Alabaster, the Main Street Medical Mile is the place to do it. In addition, the healthcare industry is the largest industry employer in Alabaster, creating demand for dining options for employees, patients and their families.

Shelby West Corporate Park & Saginaw Industrial Area
Located in the southeast corner of the city, on each side of Interstate 65, is the city's main industrial area. The area is zoned for light industrial use, and includes several industrial parks with available land or warehouse space.
