    Trial Court Day Trials are usually held the 1st Wednesday of each month, with exceptions on holidays. Certain charges (which are located on the back of all citations) may be paid in person to a court magistrate prior to your court date without appearing in court. The court magistrates are not allowed to postpone or change a court date.

    Alabaster E-Cycle and Shred-IT Public Event (Rescheduled) Volunteers will be working this event and will be able to help unload boxes and other items. Limits per household or business: To assure everyone can utilize this service and not be turned away we ask that no trailer or truck bed loads be brought to this event. Once the Shred-It truck is full we have to stop this service. Shred-it secure document destruction, all paper documents can go into our tamper-proof containers where 100% of the paper is destroyed and recycled, safely and secure...

The Albert L. Scott Library Board has five members which are appointed by the Alabaster city Council to staggered four year terms.

Summary of Duties

  1. The Library Board shall have full power and authority to:
    • Control the expenditure of all funds received or appropriated for such library.
    • Erect or rent buildings to cost not in excess of funds available to it.
    • Purchase books and equipment.
    • Provide a system of library service to be made easily available to all citizens of the county or municipality through central library, branches, stations, book truck service or other appropriate means.
    • Elect a librarian and other employees.
    • Manage and control the said library in order to carry out the full intent and purpose of this chapter.
  2. A careful and complete record and set of books shall be kept by the library board, showing the proceedings of their several meetings and the receipts and disbursements in detail of all funds.
